ORDER:

              In the reference 2nd read above, the Best Available Scheme
Management Association, Telangana, Hyd., has represented that the
Scholarship amount of Rs.20,000/- per head under Best Available Scheme
was fixed as per the price index applicable to the year 2008. As there has
not been any revision and enhancement, the Best Available Schools
managements have been struggling to meet the expenditure in running
the Best Available Schools. Inspite of the financial stringencies, the Best
Available Schools Managements in the state have been rendering
commendable service to the cause of providing modern and quality
education to all students in general and to the students from the weaker
section of the Scheduled Tribes in particular. The SSC examination results
of Best Available School in the state have always been above 95
percentage.

2. In the reference 3rd read above, the Commissioner of Tribal
Welfare, Telangana State, Hyderabad has submitted the proposal and
requested the Government to enhance Scholarship to the BAS ST
students from an amount of Rs.20,000/- to Rs.30,000/- per student per
annum under the Best Available School Scheme on par with SCD
Department.

3. After careful examination of the matter, Government hereby enhance
the Scholarship amount to ST Students studying under Best Available
Scheme (BAS) from Rs.20,000/- to Rs.30,000/- per student per annum for
all classes from III to X from the academic year 2016-17.

4. The Commissioner of Tribal Welfare, TS, Hyd., shall take necessary
action in the matter accordingly.

5. This orders issued with the concurrence of the Finance Dept., vide
their U.O.No.0152/287/A1/EBS.III/2016, dt.12.08.2016.
