O R D E R :
As the term of the Council of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is going to expire on 03.12.2014. The Government is of the opinion that it is not possible to conduct the elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal
Corporation in accordance with the provisions of the Hyderabad Municipal corporations Act, 1955 before the date of expiry of the term. Hence, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 70–G of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955, hereby appoint Sri Somesh Kumar, I.A.S., Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad, as Special Officer to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad to exercise the powers, perform the duties and discharge the functions of the Corporation, the Standing Committee for a period of Six (6) months with effect from 04.12.2014 F.N. or until elected Council assumes office, whichever is earlier.

2. Accordingly, the following Notification shall be published in an Extra-ordinary issue of the Telangana State Gazette dated:03.12.2014.

3.  The Commissioner of Printing, Stationery and Stores Purchase, Telangana State, Hyderabad is requested to furnish (100) copies of the Gazette conveying the notification to the Government.

In exercise of the powers conferred under section 70–G of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955, the Governor of Telangana State hereby appoints Sri Somesh Kumar, I.A.S., Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad as Special Officer to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad to exercise the powers, perform the duties and discharge the functions of the Corporation, the Standing Committee for a period of Six (6) months with effect from 04.12.2014 F.N. or until elected Council assumes office, whichever is earlier.
