promotions to IAS Officers


The following I.A.S. officers of 1979 batch, are promoted to the Fixed Grade  of Pay of Rs.80,000/- with effect from date of issue of orders.

                                 SARVASRI

                     1. I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, IAS.
                     2. Dr. S. Chellappa, IAS

2.             On promotion of the above members of Service, the following postings are notified:-

(1)     On promotion to the Fixed Grade Scale of IAS., Sri I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, IAS(79), Principal Secretary to Government, Agriculture Marketing & Cooperation Department  is retained in the same post and re-designated as Special Chief  Secretary to Government, Agriculture Marketing  & Cooperation Department.

                (2)   On promotion to the Fixed Grade Scale of IAS, Dr. S. Chellappa, IAS (79), Additional Director General, Dr. MCR HRD Institute is retained in the same post. Consequent on his promotion to the Fixed grade Scale of IAS, the post of Addl.Director General, Dr.MCR HRD Institute of Andhra Pradesh, is declared equivalent in duties and responsibilities to that of Additional Chief Secretary to Government borne on IAS Cadre of Andhra Pradesh.
       
3.             The promotion of Sri I.Y.R. Krishna Rao,I.A.S (79) and Dr. S. Chellappa, I.A.S (79) is without prejudice to the continuation of Dr. P.K. Mohanty, IAS (79) and Dr. I.V. Subba Rao, I.A.S (79) respectively, on Central Deputation/ Foreign Service.
In terms of the instructions issued by the Government of India in the letter 1st read above, the following officers of 1979 batch of IAS belonging to Andhra Pradesh Cadre, who are presently working on deputation to the Government of India/Foreign service and who are found fit for Promotion to the fixed grade of IAS (Rs. 80,000/-), are hereby granted proforma promotion to the said grade:-

(2)          Dr. I.V. Subba Rao, IAS
Chief of Section,
Basic Education,
