         In the Act 1st read above among others things the age of Superannuation of

Government Employees has been enhanced from 58 to 60 years to the State

Government Employees.

2. In the reference 5th read above, the Commissioner & Director of Municipal

Administration, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad has submitted to the Government that

the Commissioner, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation has stated that the

Government have enhanced the age of Superannuation of State Government

Employees from 58 to 60 years, but the said benefit is not extended to the

Employees of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and Greater Visakhapatnam

Municipal Corporation, because of the staff are not getting salaries through 010

Head of Account .The Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration,

Hyderabad has further submitted that due to not enhancing the Superannuation age,

20 Nos of Employees working in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation have lost this

benefit of Service Extension of two Years, and 33 Nos of Employees retired from

their Service in Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation. In this connection,

the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal

Corporation have made a Resolution to this effect to enhance the age limit of the

Employees vide C.R.No.296, dt:7.8.2014 by Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and

CR.No.255/2014, dt:13.8.2014 Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and

also resolved that the proposed expenditure will be met from their own funds.

3. Government, after careful examination of the representations received in this

reard from Employees Associations and the proposal of the Commissioner & Director

of Municipal Administration, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad vide reference 5th cited,

hereby extend the Andhra Pradesh Employment (Regulation of Age of

Superannuation) Amendment Act 2014, (Act 4 of 2014) enhancing the age of

Superannuation from 58 to 60 years to the employees of Vijayawada Municipal

Corporation & Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation w.e.f 2.6.2014, subject

to condition that the expenditure towards salaries etc shall be met from their own

funds on par with other Urban Local Bodies.

4. The Director of Municipal Administration, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad

Commissioner, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, Vijayawada / Commissioner,

Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, Visakhapatnam are shall take

necessary action accordingly.

5. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (HRM.IV.FR)
